1. Claris didn't tell me about this the first go-round because she thought I'd be too busy getting ready for the new school year.

5. What I *am* doing this year is executive producing a kids' tv show for RD Price and David Miller. If it sells, I make enough money to be set for life. If it doesn't, I am so fucked I will make Tracy Lords look like a virgin by comparison.

6. I am also working on this: www.15minutesplus.com . I am VERY excited about being able to combine my interests in the performing arts, producing and teaching in such a cool way.

7. My official title for the event is Director of Guest Recruitment. I call myself the pimp.

8. Bree Sharp called me the other day to respond to an email about getting involved in the event.

9. She's wicked nice and really funny, but she sounds JUST like my cousin Nancy on the phone.

11. Julie Cuntlin Brown made me cry at Moonlight Rising back in June when I was PA'ing for Chris Golden. She should be afraid from this point on.

16. Go see it. I'm going twice:once to his screening at the Boston Film Festival and once with Chris Golden, Little Sister and her boyfriend and some of his friends. Little Sister says they are 'interesting.' Hey, I like new people! :-D

23. All of my family came from Eastern Europe, but not from Germany. So...

24. I am the only Jewish person I know who didn't lose any close relatives in the Holocaust.

25. I am one of the few Jewish people I know who doesn't have any family living in Israel.

26. My husband is not Jewish: his mom isn't; his dad is.

27. My parents did not have a problem with this.

28. His mother has always had a problem with me; being Jewish is just part of that.

30. My husband's parents and my parents were good friends. Had I been a boy, I would have been given the same name as my husband because my parents like HIS name.

32. Freakier still: our dads were born in the same hospital in New Jersey 4 days apart. Seeing as how maternity stays were longer back in the day, there is little doubt they were in the nursery together.

33. If things hadn't turned out so badly, I'd believe we were fated to be together.

34. He's a crappy husband but a really good father. It's hard to hate someone who loves your kids so much. No matter how he treats you.

35. We moved to Fort Riley, Kansas when I was 2 months old because my dad was in the Army.

42. My favorite story about myself as a kid is from the trip to move there: We stopped at Anderson's Split Pea Soup in Central CA for lunch. The waitress was rather...porcine, and I was avidly learning my animal sounds. Apparently I *oinked* at her insistently for quite awhile before my parents managed to shut me up.

44. I have a vestigial gill in my left ear from when I was an embryo.

45. I have a birthmark on my left abdomen that looks like a heart.

58. It's written by the guy who writes for kids as Lemony Snicket. His Series of Unfortunate Events books are great- I highly recommend them to adults and to those with older kids not easily depressed or scared.

59. I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Fonzie.

60. He's going to be 1 next week.

61. I invited Henry Winkler to my bat mitzvah. He couldn't come, but he sent a nice note.

62. I met Henry in NYC a few years ago and told him that story. He apologized for not being able to come and kissed me on the cheek.

63. I contemplated never washing that cheek.

64. We're working on getting Henry for our event (see above).

65. My son is going to be 9 next week.

66. I worry that he is too immature for his age, too obsessed with GameBoy and Nintendo and Pokemon for his own good and that his small stature is going to get him teased.

67. He's one of the cutest, sweetest people I have ever met and he has a SUPER sense of humor, so I think he will probably be okay.

68. My daughter is going to be 11 in December.

69. She's sometimes too mature for her age, and sometimes it's a struggle not to treat her as a friend and lean on her because she's such an empath and so much like me that she gets it better than anyone else. But what kid needs THAT burden from their mom, right?

70. She's also beautiful and starting to develop. I'm not worried about this, but I am starting to think about expanding on 'the talk' in the near future.

71. I don't want to get old. Ever.

72. This is not an obsession with youth. I just don't see the value in getting old even if you are fully in command of your body and your mind. Logan's Run would've made a lot of sense to me if the people got offed at 75 instead of 35.

73. No, I do not care about being around for my grandchildren. My memory will sound a lot better than I could ever look in person in their eyes.

74. My grandmother died this year at 100. I loved her very, very much...but I wish she'd died 10 years ago.

75. I tell everyone I am allergic to coconut, but I am actually allergic to the preservative they use in non-fresh-from-the-tree coconut.

76. I can't stand coconut anyway, so it's all good.

77. I grew up in the Tomato Capital of the country, yet I never learned to like tomatoes until I got to the East Coast.

88. I want to lose 40 lbs. That puts me at what most people would still consider overweight, but I'd be happy with it.

89. Some people think there's something wrong with me for having such a good body image of myself when I am overweight.

90. Kind of amazes me too. I must've heard the phrases, "But you were doing so well on your diet!" and "And you have SUCH a pretty face" from my mom on a daily basis from 11 - 18.

91. I'd eat glass before I put my daughter on a diet or mentioned her beautiful face in anything but the most purely complimentary way.

92. I once told my mother that if she ever again commented on anything my daughter ate, I'd make sure she never saw her again.

93. I love my parents. But there's a reason I live 3,000 miles away.

95. My favorite TV show is NOT Buffy, actually- it's The Wonder Years. Second would be Life Goes On. Buffy's first 3 seasons are among the best television I have ever seen. Seasons 4 - 6 (with a few episodic exceptions) sucked so badly that they made it a negative balance. Season 7 was somewhat redeeming. Angel was good in Season 1 and VERY good in Season 2...and since then, not so much. But I still watch.

96. My kids are starting to watch some of the old episodes of Buffy with me. They like to cheer when they see RD's name in the credits.

97. My daughter thinks he's cute. My son thinks he's funny. My husband said he's a good guy but kind of a head case. I will not comment as my financial future is in his hands. ;-) (I'm kidding- he's a good guy. And cute. And funny. And a head case. And a really good friend.)

98. I have some of the best friends in the whole world, and I feel incredibly blessed to know them and have them care about me. Sometimes I marvel at how I could get so lucky. A lot of the time, actually.

99. I lost one of my best friends this week for a stupid reason. Learning that I can't control everything is a hard lesson.

100. I'm working on it. Amanda Marshall, among others, said "It's not the destination; it's the journey."

And this particular journey has reached its destination! :-D
